Poem

Tired of seeing these bars

Years of emotional scars

I can’t wait until my freedom to shine

This day will come in a matter of time

Seconds tick as minutes pass

I’ll erase memories of my troubled past

Hours that drag slowly turn into days

But I’m bettering myself in many ways

Months go by and add up to years

Times has dried up all my tears

I’ve worked to repair my damaged heart

To prepare my life for a brand new start

I’m determined to succeed…I have no doubts

I’ve built a support system that will help me out
